All tolled, there are eight individual school districts in the near East Bay. Test scores and even philosophies can vary widely within the East Bay. Some schools are geared toward high test scores, while others pride themselves on diversity and parent involvement. As school enrollments change, school boundaries often change as well. Best to consult individual district as to how this works in that particular district.
As a general guide to across the board test scores, we’ve found that the website, www.greatschools.org is the best overview. In terms of how individual school districts work, we’re providing the links for the individual school districts, as well as a few comments when applicable.
